Medicare Made
Simple & Personal

Medicare doesn't have to be confusing. Bulls Insurance Group helps Florida seniors navigate every option — Advantage, Supplements, Part D, and more — so you get the right coverage for your health, your doctors, and your budget.

Understanding the Parts of Medicare

Before choosing a plan, it helps to know what each Part covers.

Part A

Hospital Insurance

Covers inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing facility care, hospice, and some home health. Most people pay $0 premium for Part A if they worked 40+ quarters.

Part B

Medical Insurance

Covers doctor visits, outpatient care, preventive services, and medical equipment. Standard 2026 premium is around $174/month deducted from Social Security.

Part C

Medicare Advantage

Private insurance plan that bundles Parts A, B, and usually D into one plan. Offered by private insurers approved by Medicare. Often includes extra benefits.

Part D

Prescription Drugs

Standalone drug coverage added to Original Medicare or included in a Medicare Advantage plan. Covers formulary prescription medications.

The Big Decision

Medicare Advantage vs. Medicare Supplement

These are the two main routes. The right one depends entirely on your health, lifestyle, and priorities.

Medicare Advantage

Part C — All-in-One Coverage

Medicare Advantage (Part C) replaces Original Medicare with a single private plan that bundles hospital, medical, and usually drug coverage — often with $0 monthly premiums and added perks Original Medicare doesn't offer.

Best For

Seniors who want simplicity, prefer low or no monthly premiums, and don't travel frequently outside their local area.

What's Covered

  • Hospital coverage (replaces Part A)
  • Medical coverage (replaces Part B)
  • Usually includes Part D drug coverage
  • Dental, vision, and hearing benefits
  • Fitness memberships (SilverSneakers, etc.)

Advantages

  • Often $0 monthly premium
  • All benefits in one plan
  • Extra perks not in Original Medicare
  • Out-of-pocket maximum protection

Considerations

  • Must use network doctors (HMO/PPO)
  • Requires referrals in some plans
  • Coverage may vary by county in Florida

What Florida Seniors Need to Know

Medicare looks different in Florida. Here's what sets the Sunshine State apart.

Florida Has More Plans Than Most States

Florida's Medicare market is one of the largest in the country — with dozens of Advantage and Supplement options available depending on your county. More choice means more complexity. Let us do the shopping.

Annual Enrollment Period Matters

October 15–December 7 is your main window to change plans. But Florida seniors also have Special Enrollment Periods for life events. Missing the right window can lock you in for a year.

Snowbirds Need Multi-State Coverage

If you split time between Florida and another state, a Medicare Supplement plan gives you the freedom to see any Medicare-accepting provider anywhere in the country. Many Medicare Advantage plans are county-specific and won't cover you while traveling.

Low-Income Subsidies Are Available

Florida offers Extra Help (Low-Income Subsidy) programs that can dramatically reduce drug plan costs. Many seniors qualify but never apply. We help you determine your eligibility.
